What Is Kingdom Kids?
At FFC, we recognize that families do the majority of the disciplining and biblical instruction in their homes. We are committed to partnering with you to help your children understand their relationship with God and others. That’s why we use Explore the Bible curriculum from Lifeway. Children dive into the entire Bible with lessons that connect the meaning of the Scripture with real-life applications.
During the Sunday School hour (9:30 to 10:30), preschool and elementary children are introduced to the Scripture, and age-appropriate quality materials help the kids understand cultural context through activity pages, images of archeological finds, puzzles, and fun facts.
Children’s church is available for toddlers, preschool, and elementary K–5 during the church worship hour, beginning at 10:45 a.m. Because we believe that it is important for children to understand worship with the congregation, K–5 Children’s Church begins on the front row of the auditorium for worship and Scripture reading, before leaving for age-appropriate teaching in their own classroom.
Short, entertaining videos introduce the Scripture and provide a life application. For children who were in Sunday School, Children’s Church is a different take on the same Scripture, but for children who were not in Sunday School, Children’s Church provides an engaging, stand-alone discovery into God’s Word and its relevance to Christian life today.
Parents receive a weekly email to let them know what the kids are learning, with suggestions for at-home tips if they want to check those out.
Summer 2022, kids will dive into history and prophecy as they learn about the kings of Israel and Judah, and then about Amos, Hosea, and Micah. They will learn that God is the one and only true God and deserves to be worshiped in truth.
In Fall 2022, kids will see that they can learn from Jesus Christ’s example how to live lives that honor God. Daniel and Esther reveal that God has a plan, and they can trust him.
Kingdom Kids is an awesome place for kids to have fun, but more importantly to grow in their love and relationship with Jesus. It is our goal at FFC to guide your child and do whatever we can to help you as parents!
