Goliath Must Fall: Winning the Battle Against Your Giants

Teacher: Scott Houser

It’s likely you have a threatening giant in your life . . . an adversary or stronghold that’s diminishing your ability to live a full and free life. Frozen in the grip of rejection, fear, anger, comfort, or addiction, you’ve lost sight of the promise God has for your life. Demoralized and defeated, you’ve settled for far less than his best.

God has a better plan for you—a plan for you to live in victory. That’s why he has silenced your giant once and for all.

In this six-session video Bible studyPastor Louie Giglio uncovers a newfound twist in the classic story of David and Goliath. He shows how the key to living free from our giants is not better slingshot accuracy, but keeping our eyes on the one and only giant-slayer: Jesus. Put your hope in him, and watch Goliath fall.

Come join us for Religious Liberty.

Contact Patti Thielen for class information. Plt235@yahoo.com

What happens when religious liberty declines in a culture?  In previous times, religious liberty enjoyed near universal consensus and was not considered partisan.  First Amendment protections of religious freedom used to be prioritized and protected.  Now, religious liberty is often seen as a threat to an increasingly secularized culture.  Join us for this six-week study to explore why religious liberty matters to the church, what is the Scriptural basis for it and how we can equip ourselves to more effectively interact with the secular world.

Wednesday Evening: Hope In A Chaotic World

Join us Wednesday’s this Fall!

Ray Stedman’s Hope in a Chaotic World explores the apostle Paul’s letters to the believers in Thessalonica. Just as we face problems and temptations amidst a compromising culture, so too did this first-century church. While Paul wrote to encourage those believers, Ray Stedman writes to encourage you.

As Stedman guides you through the epistles of First and Second Thessalonians, he demonstrates how Paul’s letters of encouragement are just as relevant for today, speaking with power and clarity to your challenges. They voice a father’s faithful concern, a mother’s tender understanding, and a brother’s readiness to stand by to the end. Most of all, they remind you that you already have the Spirit’s inner strengthening for your daily life as well as the absolute certainty that Christ is coming back.
